觀影讀書流水賬 31/12

外遊期間，僅讀了一本趣味性書籍，是林行止的《說來話兒長》。

雖說說來話兒長，但《說來話兒長》其實話兒甚短，是本小書也。

這部散文集看似一本概念書（concept book），因為除了有關話兒的去勢篇外，還有專篇分別論盡屎和屁這些不堪入目題材。不過書中最後一篇是關於相撲的，似難與前面三篇歸納為同一概念。究其原因，乃本書只是林行止將其在《萬象》雜誌寫的幾篇閒文結集成書而已。

不過，既談相撲，也不妨旁及屎屁話兒啊。林行止在篇中就為讀者大解心中疑團：形如人山的相撲手，究竟能在大便便後自行清潔，還是要勞煩別人？

Back home ...

... after a month and a half away. This year, we took two longish trips, each lasting for 1 1/2 months.

Next year will probably be the same, spending around a quarter of the year travelling.

A friend asked the other day, "didn't you visit Montenegro earlier this year? Was it a beautiful place?"

"Yes, it was. Why?"

"Because the new James Bond film features Montenegro and it looks stunning!"

"The place may look stunning in the film. Unfortunately, it is not Montenegro despite claiming to be so. Those scenes, as I read somewhere, were shot in Karlovy Vary, a beautiful Czech spa town which I didn't visit during the same trip, as well as Lake Como in Italy."

I haven't watched Casino Royale, nor do I intend to. But from the film's promo:

[The bad guy] is planning to raise money in a high-stakes poker game in Montenegro at Le Casino Royale. MI6 assigns 007 to play against him, knowing that if [the bad guy] loses, it will destroy his organisation.

In Montenegro, the marathon game proceeds with dirty tricks and violence, raising the stakes beyond blood money and reaching a terrifying climax.

Montenegro is the world's youngest country. It declared independence from Serbia on 3 June 2006 after the 21 May referendum. Unlike the case of Croatia, this time Serbia accepted it without resorting to force. I visited Montenegro as a day-trip from Dubrovnik on 5 June.

又長一歲了，樂不可支

有些朋友記得我的生日是12月3日，但其實我一則不怎麼過生日，二則只記著父母為我記著的農曆生日。不過，不管怎樣，有人還記得我的存在，總是感溫的。
