Heartbroken in Paris

I watched the European Champions League final between Arsenal and Barcelona in an Irish pub in Paris on 17 May, knowing that the action was taking place just kilometres away.

Needless to say, I was heartbroken by the result, but I was proud of Arsenal's performance. I believe even neutral spectators would have to agree that the team which lost that night was not an inferior team.

Prelude to an exciting final:

  1. I'm sure you're heartbroken for that. But you must be pretty excited for the match too. How is your journey? Did you see Chris Lo? Is he doing good?

  2. The journey has been wonderful. Beautiful people, beautiful places, beautiful weather.

I met Hidy in Prague and she said her journey was ruined to a certain extent by almost non-stop rain. As for me, weather has largely been fine.

  4. Prague is a beautiful and compact city. You think you have entered a fairy tale land.

The concentration of tourists, however, is unbelievable even in may, which is not yet peak season. Still, I love this city.

Having just spent 2.5 days in Prague, I can?t say I have discovered anything interesting which is not known to other travellers. I can only say that the hotel I booked, Hotel Julian, is very very good and trdelnik is yummy (see my post on this).

  5. U know what? I booked Hotel Ibis but the rate is not really cheap 'cos they don't have triple room and the total price for 3 people is around HKD1,700 a night. Based on your recommendation, I visited Hotel Julian and booked via their online system a triple room at similar rate ... :)

  8. I'm sure Dubrovnik is very nice. Isn't it? By the way, I've got some problems in my return ticket and therefore might not be able to stay longer in Europe. I hope I could sort that out though ... let's see.
