購書記：5元3本好書

泣！今年Booker Prize尚未知誰會勝出，去年（即是說還是現任）得獎者Julian Barnes的中篇小說The Sense of an Ending，境況淒涼。這書的精裝本好幾個月前已在家附近“全店5元1本”書店有售。今天閒逛，發現店增加了“5元3本”賤賣系列，主要是Danielle Steel等人的舊作，但，但，但，The Sense of an Ending這部傑作竟在其中。

書雖已（從圖書館借來）讀過，而我的購書欲已接近零，但出於“惻隱之心”，還是把它捧了回家。

第二本，是兒童書插圖大師Quentin Blake的精裝大開本畫冊The Life of Birds

A book of drawings - bigger, broader and more sombre, but no less lively than Quentin Blake's much-loved and hugely admired children's book illustrations - showing a whole variety of birds in human situations.

還差一本。看來看去，終於選了The World Encyclopedia of Coffee，名符其實的coffee table book。
