When I was a high school student in HK in the mid-60's, Marianne Faithful was my 至愛. After struggling with drugs, sex, alcohol etc all these years, she is staging a comeback. I heard she will be featured in this the upcoming HK Arts Festival. Wish I could be there!
I love the Marianne Faithfull of the late 70s and early-mid 80s. Too young to experience the popular culture of the 60s and knowing what happened to her, it's hard for me to look back to that period and enjoy the singing of a girl who was so young, beautiful and seemingly innocent.
She is going to release a new album in March, and yes, she is scheduled to appear at the HK Arts Festival.
