第一次看導演李玉的作品，真要拍手叫好。
蘋果的故事，重點描述兩對夫妻四個人的錯綜關系，有條有理，雖說較像話劇劇本，但不打緊。電影拍出來層次分明，不徐不疾，有大將之風。
四位演員亦表現出色。老的一對（梁家輝和金燕玲）的演技，無須多說，爐火純青。年輕的一對（佟大為和范冰冰）亦在水準以上。
蘋果鏡頭下的今日中國，人欲橫流，道德淪喪，四個不能算壞的普通人在偶然強奸發生後，各有盤算，保障自身利益。無怪乎大陸意識形態官員對此眾生描畫看不過眼。

Humble Masterpieces is easy to read (for each object, 1 gorgeous full-page photo + 1 page of text, using just a couple of hundred words) and totally enjoyable.

i've read quite a number of books (and watched many movies) lately since i felt a bit lost after finishing the shikoku travelogue. for some reason, i didn't feel like starting on the italy travelogue (it looks increasingly likely that it will never been done), nor did i want to write much on anything else (hence the dearth of book and film reviews on jtblog).
