Heard from colleagues that you went to Europe last year, including Portugal. As I am planning to go there in April, check your blog for some info. Then I see this entry. I believe I understand. One day, I will have to face the same situation. In fact, I am psychologically preparing myself for this. They are fine today, but anything can happen. They are old, very old indeed. On Sept 25 you wrote this. The same day of my birthday. You know, I usually do not celebrate. But Sept 25 still catches my eyes. portugal is great! we only spent 8 night there, which in retrospect is too short. lisbon of course is wonderful. but porto hugely surpasses my expectation. i am quite sure we would visit these two cities again.
