香港讀者埋怨，大陸書設計越來越無必要地花俏，定價連年上升，加上人民幣匯率上漲，買大陸書越來越貴。
開玩笑！跟幾年前相比可能如此。但大家知道二三十年前買大陸書的昂貴程度嗎？舉個例，我的那部甲戌本《紅樓夢》，85年上海古籍出版，印刷簡陋，定價4.45人民幣。港幣價？31元（即一兌七）！這跟今天以文字為主的大陸書在香港的售價相差不遠。但那是26年前的31塊錢啊！那時要當文藝青年真不容易，為買書確實要節衣縮食！
舉一些年代更久遠的例子。魯迅的書，小說和雜文我大致集齊，大部分是人民文學80-81年出版的“綠皮書”，少數是73年出版的“白皮書”，皆設計清雅。我不是藏書人，當年更是窮家子弟一名，買到一個版本就不會買另一個，所以“綠皮書”和“白皮書”沒有重複。
我有的“白皮書”，定價人民幣3毛5到3毛7，港幣售價1塊6到1塊7（即1人民幣=4.5港幣）。
“綠皮書”呢？《野草》很薄，2毛5，《墳》很厚，8毛6，其他的4毛1到7毛不等。港幣價格2塊到6塊（1人民幣=7-9港幣）。
兩套書出版年份相差不過七八年，可中國已從文革後期邁進改革開放。書價呢？魯迅書的人民幣價約翻了一番，港幣價更不得了，幾乎翻兩番，是“開放”前的4倍！當年買齊魯迅的小說和雜文，花費不菲啊。
20 years ago I bought some titles of the 中國大百科 at 南京新華書店. I remembered each one (hard cover) just cost me about RMB 10. Now all the books' price are raised significantly, not cheap if regard to it's printing quality and the income of the mainlander. --sd88
回覆刪除from my experience, the golden days of buying books published in china was the early 2000s. then, pricing was still quite reasonable, the renminbi exchange rate was low, and there were a large number of bookstores in hong kong specialising in selling mainland chinese books.
回覆刪除if we look back further, we may find that mainland chinese books were very cheap. but we also need to bear in mind that the renmenbi was much stronger those days. officially, 1 chinese yuan was worth more than 3 hk dollars in 1984 (although the black market rate was lower).
