寫幾句關於 Paul Simon (The Sounds of Simon)

原來，Simon & Garfunkel的經典大碟Sounds of Silence即將慶祝50大壽！

這張1966年1月面世，Simon & Garfunkel的第二張大碟叫Sounds of Silence，其中你我皆知的經典名曲卻叫The Sound of Silence。

或許你沒特別注意，這首讓Simon & Garfunkel成名的歌是由“樂隊伴奏”的。

這，其實是唱片公司的單方面決定，把樂隊伴奏混進他們在處女大碟Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M.唱過但無人理會的原曲（只以木結他伴奏），以單曲形式於1965年9月推出，竟然大受歡迎。真是時也命也！

不好意思，開首寫了那麼多，現在才進入正題：

吾生也晚，開始聽流行曲時他倆已拆夥，Paul Simon和Art Garfunkel各自單飛。

我不超級愛聽Simon & Garfunkel，反而迷戀Paul Simon的詩人歌手階段（即單飛後，Graceland前）。

有段時間，幾乎不能自制地每天都要聽一遍How The Heart Approaches What It Yearns！

好歌太多，不能盡列。不過，這首經典中的經典，絕對不能遺漏：



（2016-8-29補加） 嚴格而言，即使在Simon & Garfunkel年代，Paul Simon也曾有過“單飛”經歷，而那張1965年出版的The Paul Simon Songbook堪稱經典，其中大部分歌曲結果也在Simon & Garfunkel的專輯中出現。

我沒詳細研究過每一首歌曲的出版背景，但跟The Sound of Silence一樣，The Paul Simon Songbook中多首木結他獨唱版比Simon & Garfunkel的“樂器伴奏”版優勝得多！
